Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. “

How do we repair out-of-balance relationships?
When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table. And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.”
He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?” Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”
“No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.”
“Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!” Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean.”
Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God.
Jesus both modeled and taught us to be selfless without abandoning self-dignity
Each of you should be concerned not only about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well. You should have the same attitude toward one another that Christ Jesus had…
Our identity in Christ is the foundation for our relational expectations and boundaries - Broken AND Beloved
No one can complete us
Allow our identity in-Christ to set fair expectations and healthy boundaries.
