I am an attorney by day, and hope to be a pageant-guru by night. I chose a career in law and math because I like to SOLVE PROBLEMS and create efficiency wherever I can. I have applied these skills and talents to the pageant preparation process. Though it took YEARS to "figure it out," with the help of a wonderful team, we finally "GET IT" and want to help you do the same... but much faster!

Happy New Year Success Seekers! And a special welcome to the pageant community. I have fought off embracing my pageant life for years (4:37), but no longer! My pageant experience, or more accurately my pageant preparation, over more than 8 years has uniquely prepared me to help other women jumpstart their pageant “career.” Nothing makes me happier than being a small part of someone else’s success.

After speaking with numerous people about the disappointment they felt after negotiating their salary, I felt it was time to address this issue and give some guidance on how to avoid the common pitfalls. This episode goes through the formula of determining your ideal salary and then how to communicate that to a potential employer when asked for a salary range or specific number. There is also a brief explanation on how to negotiate after that first salary offer comes your way. Follow along with our imaginary staff accountant seeking a job as we put the formula into practice.

Episode 5 will cover a plethora of topics and material. First, I will update everyone on what in the world I have been up to lately. Second, I will give a background on myself. I want to cultivate a community of Success Seekers who share failures and successes and grows together. To do that, we have to get to know one another. Then, we will discuss How to Create Your Top Interview Objectives! These will guide your interview. It requires self-reflection and awareness. I will walk you through the process of how to do this. Per usual, I also drop random interview and personal tips on improving yourself throughout the episode.

Spencer M. joins the STRIVE for Success podcast to tell us what it's like to be a middle schooler in today's society. He discusses his high school and college plans, explains his interview experience, and tells us what he learned from his podcast interview. Most exciting, Spencer shares he story of perseverance on the middle school wrestling team and how he is now mentally and physically stronger. 

STRIVE welcomes Evelyn M. to the podcast to share her personal experience interviewing for jobs and interviewing others who are trying to land the job. Evelyn's 25+ years in the professional world has given her insight to a great many things related to interviews.
