While at a party with friends, Courtney went to take a sip of wine and suddenly found that it was dribbling out the side of her mouth. The left side of her face became paralyzed. She was having a stroke. Brought by ambulance to MUSC, Courtney was helped by a team of people that specialize in cutting-edge stroke care. Her journey to recovery was a long one. Today, she has made remarkable progress and is grateful for the care she received at MUSC.
