Proclamation! For the thirteenth Sunday after Pentecost, 30 August 2020

Today Reverend Shelley McVea preaches on the gospel of Matthew 16: 21-28. Jesus tells his disciples about his coming confrontation with the religious authorities and how this will result in his death. Peter, shocked and protective, and insists that this can’t happen. Jesus tells Peter and the disciples that they will have to endure much, and give up much, in the coming days.
