In 2 Corinthians 10 Paul tells us that we must take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. We often have thoughts that are unhelpful to us - full of fear, doubt, pride etc. - but by making our thoughts obedient to Christ, we are able to take up His weapons that have power to demolish strongholds.
