Struktur Event 2017, Session 7: Alex Valdman, Rapha
In 2017, Struktur Event held it's largest 3-day creative conference to date. The event was located at the Left Bank Annex in Portland, Oregon, and hosted an impressive array of speakers across the industries in outdoor and performance design, research, sustainability, business, technology, team building and more. This is the first time the audio-only recordings of the speaker sessions have been released.
This talk is with Alex Valdman, then Creative Director at Rapha, currently Global Head of Creative at Allbirds.
Based in London, Alex Valdman has been in the garment game since he was a kid, learning the art of tailoring from his grandfather and the craft of sewing from his mother.Alex learned the ropes of small business before moving on to larger roles, consulting on denim programs for Supreme, and Levi's as a Global Menswear Designer.
As his career has evolved, so have his contributions to intelligent design. At the time of this recording Alex was heading up innovative projects as the Creative Director of Rapha, eventually moving up to become Chief Creative Officer and moving on to take on the role of Global Head of Creative at Allbirds.
