Colonel Stu Farris is an Army Special Forces Officer with over 25 years of service. He has commanded Special Forces units from the operational detachment to the group level and served six tours in Afghanistan leading tactical SF units in combat. As retirement quickly approaches for Stu, he reflects on his time in the military and looks at his service, not through the lens of deployments or personal accolades, but with a human-first mentality.
