Jeremy LaCasse is the Assistant Headmaster at Taft Boarding School. He is also the Director of the Association of Boarding Schools New Teacher Academy and the Dean of the Leadership Lab at the Gardner Carney Leadership Institute at Fountain Valley School. With an extensive background in the boarding school environment, Jeremy has served in many executive leadership roles throughout his career in education. He has also served as an educator, teaching a variety of history classes including World Cultures and Social Theory and Global Impact as well as European, U.S., and Ancient and Medieval History. Jeremy earned his Bachelor's degree in History with a minor in Economics from Bowdoin College and his Master's in Educational Administration from Klingstein Center at Columbia University's Teachers College.

Jeremy LaCasse joins us today to discuss why student leadership is crucial in the school environment. He discusses the importance of self-awareness and group awareness and how they impact your ability to be a successful leader.
