Interviewing for a District is scary! Try to do your research and try to figure yourself out as an educator before you do that interview. So, today’s episode is super short but also talks about the importance of learning as much as you can so that you can be an effective teacher for your students. ❤️

So this episode was interesting recording due to me stumbling over my words 😅 many apologies! I feel that it is important to look at your classroom library and see if the books in it accurately represent your diverse classroom.

In order to be an effective teacher we need to be comfortable with ourselves. Are you able to pinpoint what your strengths and weaknesses are? Are you also able to understand how to strengthen those weaknesses?

You are going to face new and intimidating challenges as a growing educator and it’s important to have an open mind and to be curious on how to tackle those challenges. ❤️💯

It’s important to teach and then it’s important to encourage for students to create their own learning experiences based off of what you just taught them. Let them be risk takers

It’s easy to get caught up with planning and going through the daily routines of being a teacher. But I want you to step back and really analyze your actions throughout the day. Do they tie closely to your teaching philosophy?

Teaching also involves verbal and nonverbal communication. It’s important to be mindful of yourself and it’s important to understand how to use your energy wisely. ❤️

Being a substitute teacher is a rewarding experience ☺️ You are growing as an educator, stay humble and stay open to all options that help promote that professional growth❤️
