In a press statement last week, the National Student Financial Aid Scheme announced that it would be defunding 5000 students from the scheme due to students no longer meeting the requirements for the system.
Further, those students who had parents making R350 000 per annum according to SA Revenue Service would be given an opportunity to appeal the decision to defund & state reasons why they should remain applicable.
