This week Karishma Gottfried (UU emerging adult, Union Theological School Seminarian) joins the VUU to discuss the student protest encampment at Columbia University calling for the university's divestment from corporations with ties to Israel. Karishma shares their experience of hostility from Christian-Zionist counter protestors and the NYPD, and the spark that has grown to a national student movement for university divestment.
