Welcome to this very special 54th Word Is Love show celebrating the sound of Studio 54 with a modern take on the Classic Disco that used to play down at this infamous glamorous New York night spot.

Being thrown down is remixed Disco, Funk, Rare Groove and Soul with an emphasis on Studio 54 floor fillers.

Expect remixed classic tracks by Diana Ross, Donna Summer, Earth Wind & Fire, The Bee Gee's, KC & The Sunshine Band and Stevie Wonder plus a very special CHIC mini-mix playing a number of their classic hits to enrich that Studio 54 vibe.

The mix has been re-imagined for a modern dance-floor and is a twist on the Classic tracks played down at Studio 54.
