On this episode of Stumptown Radio, they discuss the team’s big road win where Pietra Tordin started and scored her first professional goal. Head coach Rob Gale started two out and out wingers in Caiya Hanks and Payton Linnehan who both found the back of the net. The backline of Reyna Reyes, Sam Hiatt, Mallie McKenzie, and Kaitlyn Torpey showed up. The midfield of Mimi Alidou, Hina Sugita, and the captain also played a massive role in controlling the game on both ends.

The team culture being built by Sam Coffey, Mackenzie “Macca” Arnold, Bella Bixby, and the leaders have made a massive impact on molding it.

At the postgame presser, Pietra Tordin shared their impact.

“A big thing early on for us was creating a culture... We have culture meetings all the time, it's great to see it all come together.”

The Portland Thorns are in Mexico for the Concacaf W Champions Cup. They’ll face off against Tigres with the right to take on Club América or NJ/NY Gotham FC in the final.

Jeff Agoos and the Portland Thorns have just announced JP’s contract extension to 2028.
