Many of the "Stupid Things Jory Micah Says" seem to be self reflecting comments based in the fact that she absolutely has no foundation, which is made painfully evident by this tweet. "Is Jesus my imaginary friend? Maybe, but at the end of the day what’s wrong with having an imaginary friend?"
The reason there are so many "Stupid Things Jory Micah Says" is that stupidity is built in to the very core of who she is, which she reveals every time she updates her introductions and bios. "For new followers, I am a leftist/progressive New Testament Theologian & Early Church Historian who follows the teachings & life of the brown Jewish Jesus of Nazareth (born in Palestine). I stand firmly against white patriarchal supremacy & dream of a new, equitable & just world."
Much of the "Stupid Things Jory Micah Says" are simply self-refuting verses in Jory's personal "bible" intended to gain admission to the leftist garden party. Very reminiscent of a certain serpent in another garden "Again, there is one God who is in love with the whole world. Our interpretations of this God are many and usually a projection of humanity and thus wrong. We see dimly right now, like looking through a dirty mirror. God is beyond our understanding, no matter how bright we are."
Apparently while watching the Rittenhouse Trial, Jory didn't want the "Stupid Things Jory Micah Says" to be "one-up'd" by the DA, so she opened up her Twitter app and said "hold my medicinal weed" "-#KyleRittenhouse is a cold-blooded domestic terrorist. If he gets away with murder this time, he will do it again. "
Sometimes the "Stupid Things Jory Micah Says" hit upon a grain of truth, but then she manages to completely botch the application. "Single pastor in his 30s dates a young woman congregant in her 20s for a time. She is in love with him. He sleeps with her. She thinks he is in love with her too. He is bored. He uses her for a time until he finds someone he thinks is better. This is spiritual abuse 101."
Apparently when she realized that many of the "Stupid Things Jory Micah Says" don't hold up to scriptural examination, Jory decided it was high time she start casting doubt on the Bible itself. "There is no more ignorant statement than “the Bible is clear"
I don't like to label any of the "Stupid Things Jory Micah Says" as the "stupidest" because I think she often takes that as a challenge and proceeds to drop another, much stupider, gem, but this one is real close to one that can't be topped! "The correct pronouns for God are He, She & They. But mostly 'They.'"
And the "Stupid Things Jory Micah Says" just keep on comin'. This time around it's an awful false narrative surrounding The Global Flood followed by an instant "self own" in her caption "Noah wasn’t being dramatic when he built the ark. The people were choosing to ignore a #climatecrisis warning. Even if you believe this narrative is a myth, the point is to learn to listen and don’t be willfully ignorant."
This time, it's personal! For the most part the "Stupid Things Jory Micah Says" is simply a theological annoyance leading to the need for rebuke and a call to repentance. This time, she really hit a nerve so the gloves are coming off! "White people who adopt/foster black & brown children are often (not aways) covertly racist, abusive & problematic people who hide their white supremacy behind the perfect guise. But don’t be fooled, many believe they own in these kids & will scapegoat them & make them work more.."
Umm... Norm... This doesn't look like a "Stupid Things Jory Micah Says"? WHat is stupid about this? Contradictory worldviews are stupid! "There is NO EXCUSE to kill children."
