Various forms of subliminal stimuli and their influence on the individual has been studied since the early 19th century.  One recent fact is that even though there have been many attempts at legislation to control the use of subliminals it definitely seems that subliminals are here to stay.  Why?  Because subliminal technology affects the brain and it works!
