Ephesians 5:22–33 teaches that marriage is meant to reflect Christ and the church—a divine mission, not just a human relationship. Submission is not subjugation but willingly supporting a shared purpose. Wives mirror Christ’s submission to the Father, and husbands reflect His sacrificial love through everyday service. Our marriages exist to display God’s image and glory, and we can only live this out through the Holy Spirit as we humble ourselves and let Him work through us.
