Happy New Year! This week's episode is part 1 of my amazing interview with Shannon aka Public Health Barbie. Shannon is a substance use counselor with over 10 years of experience in the field. She is a passionate advocate of harm reduction and education and has worked in inpatient detox and rehab, as well as emergency medicine and corrections.  In addition to their work as a counselor, Shannon is also the owner of Public Health Barbie, a clothing company that aims to start conversations about mental health and reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness.
