This is the third in a series of DJ mixes I recorded to celebrate what I consider to be the vintage age of progressive house and progressive trance in the late 90s and early 00s. Throughout this time, labels like Rhythm Syndicate, Pitch Black, Bedrock, Forensic, Saw, Vapour, Hook, Alphabet Street, Sonic City, Tune Inn, Fluid, Silver Planet, Baroque and Propulsion were releasing wave after wave of incredible music: deep, dark, brooding and intense tracks you could get lost in, often with a tough, tribal edge.

Inspired by early albums in the Global Underground series, these are my take on GU mixes if I was able to go back in time and compile them from the records I was buying around then. In particular, some of the tracks included have been remastered from the original 12” vinyl as they’ve never been re-released as digital versions.
