Between 1960 and 2000, 9 million black families moved from the inner city. I am a product of that unique experience of moving to the 'burbs as a black child. Today I sit with my friend Andrew Prince to discuss our mutual experience in the suburbs and his new album about the internal dialogue of being a black kid from the suburbs.
