Marcos (Mordechai) Fintz, the youngest of four children, was born in Cuba in 1945. His ancestors came from Turkey. In 1961 fourteen-year-old Esther left Cuba for Jamaica where she and her family stayed until they obtained the necessary documentation to travel to the United States. Meanwhile, Mordechai’s family had gone to Israel to flee the Castro regime. To help his family make ends meet, he worked in construction as a bricklayer and wall finisher. A year later his Aunt Raquel, a very influential figure in his life with enormous spiritual gifts encouraged the family to settle in the U.S. Eventually Mordechai under his Aunt’s guidance found his soul mate, Esther in Brooklyn, New York. Six decades of marriage and vast life experience have enabled Mordechai and Esther to develop many time-honored philosophies and practices that appeal to mass audiences.
