When we become mothers, we’re conditioned to believe that we’ve got to do it all… and if we’re not then we are somehow failing.
My guest in this episode, Amy Talylor Kabaz, shares her journey from superwoman addict to harmonising business and motherhood and why the transition to motherhood can be challenging for so many.
Amy is a writer, producer, speaker and mother to three young children. After more than a decade covering breaking news and current affairs for the ABC around the country, her 'traditional' career took an unexpected turn when she found herself lost, overwhelmed and diagnosed with a thyroid condition after the birth of her first daughter.
11 years - and two more babies - later, she is now the author of the best-selling book ‘Happy Mama: the guide to finding yourself’, the host of the ‘The Happy Mama Movement’ podcast (with more than 200,000 downloads), runs numerous online programs for mothers all over the world, is an international award-winning coach, and the creator of the #1 iTunes meditations for children ‘Bedtime Explorers’. Her latest book ‘Mama Rising’ is now available in Australia and New Zealand through Hay House, and is due for release internationally in early 2020.
