Professor Benjamin Wiker’s book, 10 Books that Screwed Up the World, goes back before Rousseau to The Prince, covering the usual and not so usual subjects all the way to the last, The Feminine Mystique. Professor Wiker and I had a great time talking about what Orwell called “ideas so absurd only an intellectual could believe them”.
