What if your life path had been set before you’d even been born?That’s what happened to today’s guest Steven Russell. 

The son of an abusive father and a mother who had been forced into prostitution, Steven was taken into care at the age of 6 months.

Steven moved through the care system from the age of 6 months to 16 years, living with 9 foster families, in two care homes and changing schools five times in the process. Steven says he could so easily have ended up in prison or a coffin and nearly did after an incident where he was stabbed in the head at the age of 19. 

After that incident and with advice from his mentor, Steven committed to changing his life. He set about a path to change the elements in his life that could lead him to Prison or his coffin creating a plan that he stuck on his mirror as a daily reminder of the life wanted to lead.

He decided to turn his Pain into Purpose establishing Elements, a Community Interest Company  to provide Child Centered Social And Emotional Mental Health Support.
