Success Today Podcast | Where Faith Meets Real-Life Results

What if one prayer could change the way you approach every day for the rest of your life?

While attending a business summit in Houston, Texas, I discovered a powerful hidden gem in Nehemiah 1:11 (NIV):

"Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man."

In this powerful, faith-building episode, we explore how Nehemiah's prayer for favor with King Artaxerxes opened the door to an extraordinary assignment—and how that same biblical principle can transform the way we approach opportunities, relationships, business, ministry, and everyday life.

Discover the power of seeking favor with God and favor with people, including those in positions of authority, influence, and opportunity.

But there's another important lesson: Nehemiah didn't just pray for favor. He participated in his miracle!

You'll walk away with a practical daily prayer and action plan you can carry for the rest of your life.

Don't just ask God for success someday. Ask Him for SUCCESS TODAY!

Remember, favor can open doors that natural ability alone cannot open.

  • The Power in The Shift | Success Today Motivational Moment

What happens when you stop simply hoping for results and become intentional about planting the right seeds?

In this Success Today Motivational Moment, Micah Parker shares a fresh, real-life experience that unfolded in less than 12 hours. A simple nudge shifted his business strategy, leading him to take intentional action, and before the day was over, one of the final seeds he planted produced an unexpected opportunity.

Drawing on Ecclesiastes 11:6 and 1 Corinthians 3:6, Micah explores a powerful principle: we are responsible for planting, watering, and acting in faith—but God gives the increase.

Maybe you don't need to quit. Maybe you don't need an entirely new plan. Maybe you simply need to pay attention to the nudge and make the shift.

Plant the seed. Stay consistent. Trust God with the harvest.

Yesterday can teach you. Tomorrow can inspire you. But TODAY is where you take action.

  • Standing Behind a Single Desire Until You Get It!

What happens when you decide that a desire is worth pursuing and you refuse to allow difficulty, opposition, or slow progress to make you quit?

In this episode of the Success Today Podcast, Micah Parker shares a powerful principle:

STAND BEHIND A SINGLE DESIRE UNTIL YOU GET IT!

There is a difference between simply wanting something and being willing to stand behind that desire with faith, focus, discipline, determination and consistent action.

And that leads to another powerful principle:

DETERMINATION DOESN'T BOW DOWN TO DIFFICULTY.

Using the examples of Henry Ford's persistence in pursuing the V-8 engine and Nehemiah's determination to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem despite opposition and distraction, this episode challenges you to keep moving toward what you believe you have been called to accomplish.

Difficulty may require you to learn. Difficulty may require you to adjust. Difficulty may require a different strategy.

But difficulty doesn't automatically mean you should abandon the destination.

DESIRE PLANTS THE SEED. DECISION PUTS IT IN THE GROUND. ACTION CULTIVATES IT. DETERMINATION KEEPS YOU THERE LONG ENOUGH TO SEE WHAT IT CAN BECOME.

    So ask yourself:

WHAT DESIRE ARE YOU STANDING BEHIND?

And perhaps an even more important question:

WHAT HAVE YOU SAID YOU WANT THAT YOUR ACTIONS DON'T YET SUPPORT?

Your calendar tells a story. Your habits tell a story. Your preparation tells a story. Your discipline tells a story.

At some point, your actions have to begin agreeing with your desire.

Identify ONE desire. Pray over it. Determine your next step. Then DO SOMETHING TODAY that moves you toward it.

  • Follow Up, But Don't Carry Someone Else's Responsibility

In this Success Today Motivational Moment, we explore a powerful lesson about helping others without taking ownership of their responsibilities.

Whether you're a business owner, parent, leader, friend, spouse, coach, or simply someone who wants to help others succeed, there comes a point when you have to recognize the difference between supporting someone and carrying them.

You can provide information. You can offer resources. You can encourage. You can follow up. You can open the door and show someone the way, but eventually, THEY have to take the step.

Galatians 6 reminds us both to "bear one another's burdens" and that "every man shall bear his own burden." There is a time to help—and there is a time to recognize personal responsibility.

Follow up. Stay available. Be persistent. But never become more committed to someone else's success than they are.

  • Pay Attention to the Nudge — Your Next Opportunity May Be One Step Away

What if the opportunity you've been praying for is waiting on the other side of one simple act of obedience?

In this Success Today Motivational Moment, Micah Parker shares a real-life experience that began with something simple — attending a business networking event and introducing himself to someone he had seen on social media for years.

That one introduction led to an unexpected invitation to speak at an upcoming business funding luncheon.

The experience reinforced a powerful biblical principle found in Psalm 37:23:

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way."

Sometimes we're asking God to open doors while He's quietly nudging us to walk toward a door He has already prepared.

    Maybe it's making the call.

    Sending the text.

    Writing the email.

    Attending the event.

    Introducing yourself.

Or simply showing up when you don't necessarily feel like going.

    Don't automatically dismiss the nudge.

Pray. Pay attention. And when you believe God is directing you — TAKE THE STEP.

You never know what God may have waiting on the other side of one simple act of obedience.

  • How to Become Fundable as a Startup or Existing Business

What does it really mean for your business to be fundable?

In this episode of the Success Today Podcast, Micah Parker shares seven practical principles that startup and existing business owners can use to put themselves in a stronger position to access capital when opportunities or needs arise.

Many entrepreneurs spend tremendous time and energy growing their businesses, networking, attracting customers, building relationships, and increasing their visibility, while overlooking financial fundamentals that can determine whether they qualify for funding.

Micah discusses the importance of taking your personal credit seriously, managing business cash flow, knowing your numbers, planning ahead, establishing a professional business presence, understanding your market, and knowing the funding options available to you.

Drawing from real-world business funding experience and biblical principles, including Proverbs 22:3, Proverbs 27:23, and Luke 14:28, this episode emphasizes one important message:

DON'T WAIT UNTIL YOU NEED $50,000 OR $100,000 TO START TRYING TO BECOME FUNDABLE.

Build the profile BEFORE you need the capital.

You may not be fundable today — but that doesn't mean you can't become fundable.

Identify the areas that need improvement, develop a plan, and start working on them TODAY.

  • Episode 5: When the Bank Says No, It Doesn't Mean the Vision Is Dead

What happens when your bank says NO to your business funding request?

Does that mean your business opportunity is over?

    Not necessarily.

In this Success Today Motivational Moment, Micah Parker explains why a rejection from one traditional bank doesn't necessarily mean the vision is dead. Sometimes it simply means you need a different strategy.

A business may be growing and still fall outside a particular bank's lending guidelines because of factors such as credit, cash flow, time in business, collateral, financial statements, or existing debt.

    A "no" may mean:

    Not this lender.

    Not this type of financing.

    Or simply — NOT YET.

Drawing from Proverbs 15:22, Micah discusses the importance of seeking wise counsel, understanding why financing was declined, strengthening areas of weakness, and exploring appropriate alternatives.

    But there's another important principle:

The goal isn't simply to GET FUNDED.

The goal is to obtain the RIGHT FUNDING for the RIGHT REASON at the RIGHT TIME.

    Know your numbers.

Understand how the capital will be used.

    Count the cost.

And make sure the financing supports a legitimate business objective.

    TODAY'S SUCCESS TODAY CHALLENGE:

If you've recently been turned down for business financing, find out WHY.

    Then ask yourself:

    What can I improve?

    What alternatives are available?

What can I do TODAY to put my business in a stronger position tomorrow?

Sometimes a "no" isn't the end of the road.

Sometimes it's simply a sign telling you to take another route.

  • Episode 4: Helping, Serving and Encouraging Others While Hurting

What do you do when you're hurting, grieving, and waiting for restoration in your own life?

Sometimes God's answer may surprise you:

HELP OTHERS. SERVE OTHERS. ENCOURAGE OTHERS.

In Episode 4 of the Success Today Podcast, Micah Parker shares one of the most personal and transparent stories he's shared publicly.

During what he describes as a "triple-header of adversity," Micah was simultaneously dealing with the devastating decline of his mother from dementia, a serious health crisis involving his sister, and the painful breakdown of his marriage.

In the middle of that emotionally difficult season, around two o'clock one morning, Micah believes God gave him a clear instruction:

"Help others. Serve others. Encourage others — even before you see restoration in your own life."

And he made a decision to obey.

That decision led him back into jail ministry, where something unexpected happened. While Micah was encouraging and ministering to men who were incarcerated, some of those same men began encouraging and praying for HIM.

Through the biblical story of Joseph, Micah explores a powerful principle:

JOSEPH WAS STILL A PRISONER — BUT HE WAS STILL OPERATING IN HIS PURPOSE.

Joseph didn't wait until he reached the palace to use his gift. He used his gift in the prison.

Looking back several years later, Micah can see how that triple-header of adversity could have caused him to retreat from life. Instead, God used it to make him stronger, wiser, more compassionate, and more determined to serve.

If you're experiencing grief, disappointment, uncertainty, relationship difficulties, or another painful season, this episode carries a message of HOPE:

Your pain does not disqualify you from being used by God.

Your adversity does not mean your story is over.

And your present circumstances do not get the final word.

God can strengthen you. God can develop you. God can use you. And God can give you purpose — even while you're still hurting.

    TODAY'S SUCCESS TODAY CHALLENGE:

    Ask yourself:

"WHO CAN I HELP, SERVE OR ENCOURAGE TODAY?"

    Then take one action.

Send the text. Make the phone call. Say the prayer. Share the encouraging word. Serve somebody.

Because sometimes while God is using you to help heal somebody else's heart...

HE'S WORKING ON YOURS AT THE SAME TIME.

  • Episode 3: My Turning Point — The Day I Took Back Control of My Health

What happens when you finally decide to take back control of your health?

In Episode 3 of the Success Today Podcast, Micah Parker shares the personal health journey that changed his life.

Several years ago, Micah's A1C had reached 11.9. He knew changes needed to be made, but knowing you need to change and actually DECIDING to change are two very different things.

    Then came his turning point.

On June 5, 2025, Micah made a decision to eliminate added sugar from his lifestyle and become more intentional about his health.

    That decision changed his direction.

Over time, his A1C dropped into the low 6s, his blood pressure normalized, he lost more than 25 pounds, his strength and conditioning improved, and he began doing things physically in his 60s that he hadn't done in years.

But this episode isn't simply about weight loss or sugar.

    It's about DECISION.

    DISCIPLINE.

    CONSISTENCY.

    STEWARDSHIP.

And discovering that your past habits don't have to determine your future.

Micah also shares how his personal transformation eventually inspired No Sugar No Sweat — an initiative designed to encourage others who want to take greater control of their health and break unhealthy patterns.

The challenge in this episode is simple:

What is ONE thing you know you need to change concerning your health?

You don't have to change everything overnight.

But you do have to START.

One decision may not immediately change your circumstances — but one decision CAN change your direction.
