The World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates Report, to be released today, is predicting increased corn and soybean production and stocks. The global food cost index rose to 130.1 in July, the highest since February 2023. President Trump extended the tariff deadline with China, and trade talks with Brazil stalled. USDA reported increased corn inspections to 49 million metric tons, while wheat and soybean assessments declined. Cattle futures saw minor gains, and boxed beef prices rebounded. Flood watches were issued for parts of Oklahoma, with thunderstorms expected to cause localized flooding.
