The US and Japan have struck a trade deal, which includes a 15% reciprocal tariff on Japanese goods and a $550 billion investment from Japan. The US was the fifth-largest fruit supplier to Japan in 2022, with a market share of 5%. Extreme heat warnings are in effect across the Midwest, with temperatures reaching up to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. The cattle market is focused on upcoming reports, with live cattle contracts closing at new highs.
