Such Nerds

Join Peter, Dan & Jason with our special guest host Mike to discuss the Foundation Series up to book 5 "Foundation and Earth" ....was it good?...., or was it not?   Hope you enjoy our debate and discussion during this long awaited Finale to our Isaac Asimov Foundation Series run!!

Join Jason, Dan, and Peter, as we discuss our intrepid space travelers as they finally reach Earth,...ahem, er....The Moon and the high spots and low spot regarding this abrupt end to our 5 book journey. How does Asimov compare to some of the great books we have experienced in our lives?

Join Jason, Dan, and Peter, as we discuss our intrepid ...not duo, ...not trio,... but...quatro?! As they explore Alpha, a diverse world of dozens of people, ....DOZENS OF THEM!  Navigating a complex set of social signals from a culture that reflects the readers experience of Curren day earth as if it was totally alien and at the same time ancient.  Finally Bliss gets a break and Fallom saves the day by entrancing Hiroko with here musical skills.

Join Jason, Dan, and Peter, as we discuss an adventure to an otherwise lifeless planet, save the moss (hint hint, the scene on the book cover).  There are of course antics aboard the vessel, and we learn in the end that... Pelorat needs to be more assertive with Trevise!

Join Jason, Dan, and Peter, as we discuss what does it mean to be a "Whole Human" and what is it like to live like our bizarre interlocutor on the planet Solaria.   Need I say Bliss again intervenes to create a safe space for our Foundationers as they make a fast exit from this unwelcoming estate, interestingly they are compelled to take on a strange new traveling companion.

Join Jason, Dan, and Peter, as we visit the next world in the journey, which appears to have gone to the dogs.  While Trevise vociferously exercises his second amendment rights, Bliss yet again is the one who saves everybody's Bacon!  While we can't agree if collectivism or individualism is better, we are pretty sure we did not find earth.  In any case our trio must ramble on!

Join Jason, Dan, and Peter, as we close out Part II with our trio and several important supporting actors, although Bliss again saves everybody's biscuits!  We also open some new clues on the roadmap to earth, and get the heck out of dodge.

Join Jason, Dan, and Peter, as our trio travels on to Comporellon and find a series of surprises from this drab and apparently autocratic society.  But why isn't everybody named Compor?!?  And who needs identification documents 50,000 years in the future anyway!!

Join Jason, Dan, and Peter, or should I say Jay, Dan, and Pete, as we pick up where we left off in Isaac Asimov's Foundation and Earth as the search continues for earth.  Where should we go to help Trev feel better about his decision in the last book?! That's not all, if you can believe it, our heroes have moved past their dependency on the galactic printing presses for their news and knowledge sources!
