Suck it up

When life sucks,

make misery your lollipop.

Suckle the sorrow

savor the pain,

let it's burning red flavor,

still your tongue and

drive you to write a poem.

Even if apathy sucks

Who the hell cares

Misery deserves company

Make all those around you

Endure your pain

Let stress caress

your innermost rage,

then verbalize it,

capture it

on a web page.

Some of the greatest

works of man

came from the hardest

most depressing times

of thier lyves. ..

Whenever they were down

Whatever made them down

They wrote it down

And then wrote it up

and let it go

Commit suicide on paper

with razor sharp wit drawn

decisively

across onionskin.

Bleed out your need,

and feed the read,

till dangling participles

render you into peaces

you have never known.

For whatever has been

sub-tracted from your life,

let add-jectives fill the gaps,

let pro-nouns uplift you,

and then share your pain.

The world is full of

people agonizing

over their lives

looking for answers.

Make then feel better,

by the magnitude

of your suffering,

easing their own,

they will applaud you.

With out- standing ovations

Then watch depression fade

in the flesh on flesh

staccata rhythms that

your angst has wrought

You will feel that smile

That seemingly endless grin

Spread across your dour face

And break into delightful laughter

It is the evolutionary path

Of angst into joy

It turns humans humane

Suck it up and then

Savor the flavors of bliss

Calmingyour rage

As you giggle and

turn the page
