Liv and Ben are starting to cover a new reality show from TLC called Suddenly Amish, which follows six non-Amish individuals on a rare journey as they leave behind their modern "English" lifestyle and step into a deeply traditional Amish community in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Six outsiders flee the chaos of modern society for a chance to join the Amish community, but harsh rules and culture shock ignite instant conflict. With both sides refusing to bend, tensions erupt into a standoff.
