I am solo today for Ocean Talk Friday so I decided to speak on two major events happening in Washington, DC this weekend: Earth Optimism Summit and the March for Science.

Friend of the podcast, Dr. Michelle LaRue, will be speaking at the Earth Optimism Summit as well as many other speakers from all over the world. I chat about the Summit and all the wonderful topics that will be covered over the three days.

On Saturday, Earth Day will be met with a March for Science by a number of people who want to tell governments around the world that Science is important in decision making, especially when it comes to the environment. People have been talking about not Marching in the podcast because they don't want the public to think that science is politicized. I talk about my thoughts on the March and why I am for it.
