I want to start with a quick apology, it’s been awhile since the last episode.

For most of my life, I lived like I was my own god, self-made, self-sustained, and self-ruled.

This is an honest, raw conversation about identity, confession, marriage, spiritual leadership, and the death of the man who keeps trying to sit on the throne.

In this episode of Suffer Well Podcast, I share my own Jonah story. In May 2025, I quit my job as a lineman apprentice, a job my wife and I prayed fervently for, because I couldn’t stand the culture around me. Instead of seeing those men as my Nineveh, I saw them as the problem and I ran. I Jonah’d it.

But running from God doesn’t lead to freedom, it leads to the belly. Bills piled up, hustles failed, and I watched my wife carry the weight I was supposed to shoulder. Like Jonah, I had to learn that the fish wasn’t punishment, it was preservation.

Over 6.3 million are trapped in sexual exploitation. In America alone, thousands of minors are trafficked every year while men scroll, stay silent, and leave their gates wide open.

This episode calls it out. Every stat. Every verse. Every failure. And then we issue orders. Because God does not ask men politely to defend the innocent—He commands it.
