Suffering and Glory

To be "in Christ" (8:1) is to be joint heirs with Him in eternal glory. In the epistle to the Ephesians, Paul prays "that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe..." (Ephesians 1:17-19). "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered in the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him" (I Corinthians 2:19).
