Thank you so much for tuning in and listening to Devotions with Deanna weekly podcast. I want to take a few minutes to introduce myself and tell you what you can expect from today’s podcast. I am Deanna Fullerton, a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor, an Ordained Minister of Pastoral Care and founder of Eagles Rest Counseling right here in middle Tennessee. My specialized training is in temperament counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy and EMDR.
Normally, I would be sharing a few scriptures with you, how you can apply these scriptures to your life and conclude with a prayer for all of you. Since we are at the end of September and the month of September is recognized as National Suicide Prevention Month, I decided to share my latest blog with you. Today I am taking a risk and being very vulnerable with my audience, as I share part of my testimony in overcoming suicidal thoughts. I am reminded of one of Brene’ Brown quotes, “Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren’t always comfortable, but they’re never weakness.” So here goes!
Suicidal Thoughts No Longer Have a Hold on Me
John 10:10, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
