Life is a classroom, and there are always opportunities to continue learning. For me, August led to a lot of learning and insights as well as my re-entry back to work after some time off. So over the next few episodes, I'll be unpacking everything I learned in August.
When we are struggling with something, we think that once we have it all handled, we're going to be fine. Once we have the right plan, it'll no longer be a problem. Once we get what we want, we'll live happily ever after.
But life doesn't work like this. Because when it comes to managing boundaries, people, and time, it is an ongoing practice and there will always be tension. There will always be other things to contend with.
Boundaries are about getting clear on what works for you, and managing them is an ongoing process. I invite you to stop trying to convince yourself that there shouldn't be tension and accept that there will always be learnings. Take these learnings from your situations, instead of arguing with them.
In this episode, I'm sharing the metaphor of a suitcase and how this can help you understand how to manage boundaries. Discover how to get comfortable with the uncomfortable, accept that there is always going to be tension when it comes to managing boundaries, and how to take the appropriate learnings from every situation.
