Autonomy based motivation models are a proven method of increasing motivation, innovation and creativity. The Australian software company, Atlassian pioneered an autonomy based motivation model and dubbed it the FedEx day because participants have to create and deliver overnight. FedEx days are an interesting model for educational professional development!
