Transition is a natural part of our walk with the Lord. Thankfully, we have a perfect road map for navigating these times of transition, which can be times of turmoil, fear, and unrest. Jesus gave us a perfect model as he teaches his disciples in John 14:1-11. He calls us to first re-center our focus on Jesus Himself. As we do this, our hearts and minds are redirected to recall the many ways that God has worked in our lives. As we do this, we can follow In the same way that Jesus modeled rest during the turmoil of transition (seen in Jesus' ability to peacefully sleep in the boat in the midst of the storm on the sea). It is out of this place of peace, tranquility and calm -- being completely at home and secure in our identity as a son and daughter of God, that we minister the power of the Kingdom of God, quieting the storms and turmoil in the hearts of those to whom God sends us.
