It is 2022 and we still don't have proper immigration reform...why?
Immigration and asylum policies have been a key issue area for the United States for years. In 2012, under the Obama administration, the immigration process went through a major change. Through an executive order, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals or DACA was created. The result of this executive order was renewable two-year grants of protection from deportation—plus work permits and identity documents—for approximately 700,000 undocumented immigrants who arrived in the country as children.However, so much changed since the Obama administration and DACA was introduced.
