The Blackhouse Kollective is hosting a Summer School Camp aimed at introducing young people to a conversation on decolonialty by distilling Decolonial Thought from Black Consciousness and Pan Africanists thoughts. The Blackhouse Kollective is a youth-founded Soweto based Black Consciousness Pan Africanist organization. The purpose of the camp is to help learners and educators make sense of education and the idea of a school from a decolonial and black consciousness lens with the hope of re-imagining better schools for decolonized education. It is for this reason that my next guest, Prof Nelson Maldonado-Torres - Academy of Science of South Africa (ASAF) Distinguished Visiting Scholar is in the country. To share more about what a school for a decolonized education looks like,
GUEST: Prof Nelson Maldonado-Torres - A distinguished visiting scholar at the Academy
