Rebecca Hoyt, the new Disability Rights and Services Specialist for the City of Madison joins the Thursday edition of the 8 O’Clock Buzz and host Tony Castañeda and Eli Wilz to talk about the upcoming Disability Summit, as well as the general state of affairs regarding policies and directions for the City. The Summit will be a virtual event hosted by the City today, July 27th, and tomorrow, July 28th. Access is open to the public and interested parties should visit the City’s website, City of Madison/Civil Rights, to register for this free event. There will be many speakers addressing concerns and planning for disability rights. This event will be held as a precursor to the Disability Pride Festival scheduled for Saturday, July 29th at Warner Park in Madison.
