What do we do when life doesn't turn out the way we expected, and even our faith feels shaken?

In the latest message in our series "I Didn't Sign Up for This," Dr. Jerry Sittser explores the story of Joseph and the painful reality of waiting when God seems silent. Through years of betrayal, injustice, and imprisonment, Joseph faced moments when hope seemed lost and the future was impossible to imagine.

This sermon invites us to consider how we can remain faithful in seasons of suffering by cultivating our memory of God's faithfulness, allowing hardship to challenge our expectations, and learning the discipline of waiting on God.

Even when we cannot see what God is doing, suffering does not have the final word. There is hope in trusting that God is at work in ways we cannot yet understand.

Suffering and loss are part of life, but where we turn in the midst of our pain matters. Through the story of Job, we explore how to navigate suffering by shifting our questions from "Why me?" to "Who are you, God?" and learning to trust the God who may not always explain our pain, but meets us in it through Jesus.
