One of our favorite sumo tournaments throughout the year is the Consulate's Cup in Dripping Springs, just outside of Austin, Tx. This tournament is organized by Justin Kizzart, who is also the founder of Austin's own Dark Circle Sumo. If it weren't for Justin, we may not be as obsessed with sumo as we are now! If you've never heard of Sensei Seth, you're really missing out. He's a martial artist with a rather large following on YouTube where, for the last few years, he's made it his life's mission to try every martial art and combat sport in existence. A couple years ago, he decided to try sumo wrestling. Not only did he quickly fall in love with it, but he is now on his way to Poland as part of Team USA to compete in the World Sumo Championships. In this episode, we talk to Seth about his sumo journey, how it relates to other martial arts, and how he's working to raise the profile of sumo in the US and beyond.
