Then later, Sunday, rain likely, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after noon. Areas of fog before 8am. High near 59. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Sunday Night, showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 9pm, then rain after 9pm. Low around 48. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Flood Watch. Flood watch remains in effect from 6 am Mountain Daylight Time this morning through monday afternoon. The Flood Watch continues for. portions of north central Montana and west central Montana, including the following areas, in north central Montana, Eastern Pondera, Eastern Teton, Northern Rocky Mountain Front, and Southern Rocky Mountain Front. In west central Montana, Central and Southern Lewis and Clark. from 6 AM Mountain Daylight Time this morning through Monday afternoon. A period of moderate to heavy rainfall is expected along the Rocky Mountain Front today through tonight. Rainfall amounts are expected to exceed 1. inches, but could reach near 3 inches. A combination of rain and enhanced snow melt runoff will cause rises on area streams, creeks, and rivers. Minor flooding could develop along the Dearborn River on Sunday and continue into Monday. Minor flood stage on the Dearborn River is 6. feet. Precautionary/preparedness actions. A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
