The FDA and SunSprout Enterprises are recalling multiple lots of raw alfalfa sprouts. This product is contaminated with salmonella. This bacterium can trigger serious gastroenteritis and life-threatening sepsis in the very young, in older, frail individuals, and in those with weakened immune systems. The products have been sold in Nebraska, Kansas, and Iowa. The involved lots are #4211, #5211, #3212, and #4212.
