Ambient Noodlings

Sunday Ambient #132

Listen Later

Happy Sunday evening! I’ve got a bit of weirdness for you today. I’m experimenting a lot with creating new sounds through spectral analysis and resynthesis. In today’s track I’ve created some new sounds using various samples of rain falling. Everything you hear is made from resynthesizing the sounds of rain. I hear a lot of metallic sounds in the result. Kind of like alien wind chimes.

Patch Notes

* Various samples of rain falling played by 4ms STS.

* Rain samples were recorded into Morphagene for texturing. Samples are being played backwards by Morphagene.

* Morphagene into Panharmonium for spectral analysis and resynthesis.

* Moskwa II runs a sequence, providing 1V/oct CV into Panharmonium and triggering an envelope with Maths.

* A little delay with Mimeophon and reverb with FX Aid.
