Ambient Noodlings

Sunday Ambient #133

Listen Later

Happy Sunday! Hope you’re ready to jam today. I’ve got a track with lots of percussion going on. I had a good time putting this one together. As I mentioned last week, I’m experimenting with music made from the spectral analysis and resynthesizing of various sounds. Today’s track uses some samples of thunderstorm sounds to created the melodic percussive sounds. The other drum sounds were created with analog synthesis. The whole thing kind of sounds like a freaky drum circle.

Patch Notes

* Thunderstorm sounds sampled into Morphagene

* Morphagene mangled samples fed into Panharmonium

* Panharmonium fed into Popple filter, then through a LPG that was pinged with Maths

* Sine wave from Spectraphon was run through Fold 6 wave folder, then into the audio input of Ultra-Perc

* Ultra-Perc used for kick/snare/hi-hat sort of sounds

* Panharmonium driven by a sequence from Moskwa II

* Xaoc Leibniz modules used for triggering drum sounds from binary patterns

* Delay by Mimeophon and reverb by FX Aid
