Jesus is talking about moving from a place of being lost and in danger to a place of safety.

He gave up something physical so that we can benefit from something spiritual from now until forever.

We are seeking to show God's love through sharing with others through feeding and caring, addressing their needs, meeting with the lonely, being present to each other and offering joy.
