Uncomfortable Service

Philippians 2:3-8

I. The Problem: Comfortable Christianity Avoids Sincere Sacrificial Service.

II. The Pattern: Christ Demonstrated Sacrificial Service.

The gospel transforms us from people who live to be served into people who live to serve.

Christ-centered service is:

1. Done in love

2. Focused on Christ's example

3. Sincere

4. Without expectation

5. Joyful (not grudgingly)

6. Often Sacrificial

7. Often Inconvenient (in the flesh)

8. Faithful (1 Corinthians 15:58)

9. Full of Grace

10. Full of Gratitude

Three things are apparent when our service is Christ-centered:

1. Care

2. Commitment

3. Christ
