The adult Sunday School lesson continues the study of Proverbs. This weeks text is Proverbs 16:32 and looks at the themes of patience and self-control. The proverb contrasts action and with restraint. Acting in haste out of anger and fear, risks sin and folly. Self-control is the safeguard against wrong action. One who can control himself is better than one who can take a city; is the lesson of patience and self-control.
