The guilt offering is a ritual that draws our attention to the fact that there is no innocent sin. All sin affects our vertical relationship with God and also our horizontal relationships with our neighbors. It is an act of restitution (compensating for the damage we've done). Jesus is a guilty offering on behalf of his people is a satisfactory compensation. The NT frequently looks to Jesus as the Suffering Servant of Isaiah 53 who was wounded for our iniquities and bruised for our transgressions. - Leviticus 5:14-6:7

The sin offering was offered to put an end to the separation between God and man that was the result of sin. Though our sin defiles us, it also makes unclean the place where God's presence dwells. This offering purifies it once more so that God can dwell among his people. In Christ, this means that his sacrifice doesn't just forgive us of our sins but purifies our soul so that God might dwell in us. - Leviticus 4:1-5:13

The peace offering was an gift offered at irregular times and for the purpose of celebrating the health, prosperity and peace we have in God. It was a festive sacrifice shared with others outside the temple. Christ offers up his own body for sacrifice which we remember regularly at a festive meal shared together that Jesus himself first instituted. - Leviticus 3:1-17

The grain offering was a gift given to God on behalf of the worshipper to express their faithfulness and commitment to God as well as their gratitude to him for being forgiven. In Jesus, we are invited to give thanks for all that He has accomplished in bringing about our peace with God. - Leviticus 2:1-16

Since Adam and Eve were first cast out of the Garden, we have been separated from God by sin. The burnt offering was a ritual that was called for wherever the people of God were reminded of sin and living in a world characterized by sin. The animal they offered took their place and their sins were wiped away. This pointed forward to Jesus who was the True burnt offering in whom we worship through confession, receiving forgiveness and devotion. - Leviticus 1:1-17

1 Corinthians 12:1-11 - We are outfitted and empowered by the Spirit of God for His purpose. We each serve in different ways and in different activities with different gifts for one purpose that we might be like a symphony. The Greek word for 'common good' is sympheron which means to bring together for good... but not necessarily our own good. (Ephesians 4:11-13)
