Drawing on Paul's own resume of achievements (and his surprising verdict on it), this message asks what happens when the things we build our identity on get stripped away, and points to the only identity secure enough to hold up. 

In this message,  we look at Acts 12 and King Herod's sudden downfall. Herod was struck down not for his violence against the church, but for accepting praise that belonged to God alone. It's a challenge to examine the quiet pride in our own hearts, and a reminder that we can only give God the glory he deserves once we understand how Christ has rescued us from sin and set us free to live for him.
